Make Do & Mend
Why are we working differently in school this year?
This year we are working differently because of COVID-19 it made us stay home for at least 6 months and it made people worried because they didn't know if they were ready for year 9 because of the lack of education and these days we can only have break in the mooga because of social distancing.
How can restrictions/constraints help to make us more creative?
It can make us more creative if you don't give up and be persistent you can embrace your mistake or disability and make it your greatest strength if you want to be better. also if you are creative you can make do of anything.

Marcel Duchamp & The Readymade
Leonardo Da Vinci, Mona Lisa, 1503-1519
|
Marcel Duchamp, L.H.O.O.Q. 1919
|
The Mona Lisa was made in 1503 by Leonardo Da Vinci. It took him 4 years to complete his master piece, this was made famous when it was finished and added to the royal collection and after the revolution was made public in the louvre museum. But was stolen by an employe and was stolen for 4 years until being found in Italy and made its way back to France.
And the Mona Lisa has not been finished due to Da Vinci injuring his arm, to this day the painting is said to be worth $850 million. This art is called L.H.O.O.Q it was made by Marcel Duchamp and he made this ready made of the mona lisa, he has added a mustache and beard and made a rude comment in secret in french that says she has got a hot ass. Originally this was a postcard and he made little adjustments and made it world wide famous piece of art. |
Kensuke Koike
This person is another famous ready-made artist, his name is Kensuke Koike he has made many spectacular art and ill show a few of his great ones. He cuts and folds to create his art and most are in black and white as you can see here, And has a real eye for art.
My Readymades
WWW: I'm really proud of the cuts I made, I also like the pictures I got. I really like where I made the cuts. When I was making this I saw the hat immediately my eyes where drawn to it so I thought that if I were to remove it and add it to another photo it would make a huge difference, I then removed his beard.
|
EBI: I think I could have cut more, maybe the clothes or the jewelry. Also I should have cut the other mans hair or something off of him, I should have challenged myself to do something harder because I think what I did was basic.

Hannah Höch - Das schöne Mädchen (The Beautiful Girl), 1920
In this collage I can see wheels, a woman and machinery. I can see a hairdo and a hand holding a clock. Also, there are many BMW logos scattered around the page placed in interesting points and a light bulb that caches my eye as it's in the middle of the page and is brighter than the rest of the picture. The most important parts of this image to me would be the bright light bulb, the wheel and the piston. I think this is because they are the biggest and in the centre of the picture. The bulb is so bright compared to the rest.
This picture is made up from many parts of machinery that look like car parts and parts of a woman. This may show that there is some connection between them. The title of the picture is ‘Das schöne Mädchen or (the beautiful girl)’. In my opinion, this does not show the meaning of this picture because there are car parts and I would prefer to title it “Driving Lady”.
The three adjectives I would use to describe this picture would be:

Matt Lipps
Matt Lipps is another ready made artist, he explores dimensions and different ways to present art. He cuts out pictures and stands them up he is a guy who can constuct many different pieces of art.
If photography has not yet been completely dematerialised, it's on its way to that point. To belabour this fact is to beat a dead horse.

Daniel Gordon
“Meticulous” and “delirious” are two seemingly contradictory yet completely apt words that have been used to describe the work of the Brooklyn-based artist Daniel Gordon. While photography is the foundation of his practice, his pieces are equal parts sculpture and collage, minutely realized.
In this photo you can see the detail in crafting he did and how he played with the dimensions. I also realised that he uses life and greenery a lot in different shapes and she makes the background mach the main piece in the front. I feel he spends long to make these pieces of art because of how detailed the whole art is. If i were to pick 3 words to describe this they would be: detail, rough and depth.
I can’t remember a time after I began making art that I had any other idea of what I would do as a career.
-- Daniel Gordon
This picture made by Daniel Gordon he is an amazing artist that sees art for what it is. This picture in particular is the one i liked the most because it shows art and sculpture and he merged the well together. As soon as you look at the picture you instantly look at how different this is from the rest due to the paper he stuck on the models face. Overall this piece of art is the one that caught my eye because it was different and intrigued me. |
My 3D photocollage
In this task we made our own 3D photocollages, we hade to cut out different pieces of photos we liked then we stuck them onto cardboard then cutting them out again we also made stands for them so they can stand up. We put the smallest in the front ground the middle sized ones in the middle and the largest for the background.
I really enjoyed this task but the cardboard was hard to cut through. |
My Tabletop Sculpture
In this task i was asked to take pictures of items in my house and have five different angles and i thought that i would take a picture of my ps4 controllers. In this task i had to take pictures of a sculpture made from stuff in my house, but i had to take five different angles of the sculpture
I had fun making and taking these pictures and enjoyed this task overall.

Prison Photography
this video shows that even people who are in prison locked away can still have an imaginative mind and can still be good photographers and that shows in this video.
Also there photographs tell a story of how they feel, and there emotions get across to you. |
|
The prison photographs of Nicoló Digiorgis
In these photos you can feel the emotion that emits from them, the dullness and emptiness complements the black and white colour. these pictures look so simple but have a deeper meaning, i think the photographer really shows that well.
my favourite is the still life of the clock for me it shows that time is frozen for them, like there stuck in time forever.

Nature Pictures
iIn todays task we were given a genre to find in venice in la, and mine was nature so i gathered these photos. i found this task quite easy because nature was everywhere, so i found different angles and hights to take pictures from. And i think i did really well and i am proud of the work i did today.
